This page summarises in plain language how Northfold Research's publications and services should be understood. It does not replace the full Terms of Sale and Licence; the Terms govern in case of any conflict.
Northfold Research publishes independent paid research briefs for senior enterprise decision-makers. Each brief is a self-contained decision document. Briefs and Executive Previews are intended to support internal decisions within the licensee organisation.
Northfold publications are not legal, regulatory, tax, audit, accounting, investment, insurance, medical, or implementation advice. They are not a substitute for advice from qualified professionals with knowledge of your specific situation and jurisdiction. They are not a regulatory sign-off, certification, audit opinion, or compliance assurance for any particular institution.
Northfold publications support your own internal validation and decision-making. You remain solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of a publication for your own purposes, for obtaining any specialist professional advice you need, and for all decisions and actions you take. Where institution-specific judgment is required — for example, on regulatory compliance, technical implementation, or financial exposure — you should engage a qualified adviser with knowledge of your specific facts.
Northfold publications reflect our editorial judgment at the time of publication, based on sources we believe to be reliable. We do not warrant completeness, accuracy, regulatory sufficiency, or continued applicability. Opinions, classifications, forecasts, and recommendations may change without notice.
A Northfold Calibration is a productised application of a Northfold framework to information you provide. It is not a legal opinion, regulatory sign-off, certification, audit opinion, or implementation guarantee. You remain solely responsible for your own controls, compliance assessments, and production decisions. The Terms of Sale and Licence apply in full to Calibrations.
All Northfold publications are licensed, not sold. Each licence permits use only within the purchased scope (Single User, Team, or Enterprise). Redistribution beyond the licensed scope, public posting, use as input for machine-learning systems, and use in external client work are prohibited without prior written consent. Short, attributed quotations for internal-use documents within the licensed scope are permitted.
Northfold's liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Sale and Licence. Subject to mandatory law, total aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid for the relevant publication in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and indirect or consequential losses are excluded. Mandatory liability — for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and other claims that cannot lawfully be limited — remains unaffected.
